Gardone (province of Brescia) is a popular holiday and health resort on the Salò coast in the middle of the west side of the lake in the province of Brescia. It lies partly on a hill and partly along the lake with parks and gardens full of exotic plants, and hotels and country houses.

You should visit the neoclassical Villa Alba set in a large public park and the Hruska rock gardens. In Gardone di Sopra you can visit the Vittoriale, the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio’s last home, and the eighteenth century church with its Romanesque bell tower.
